Lydia Ko is the youngest golfer to win multiple LPGA Tour events by making it to the season-ending finale in New Jersey.

The New Zealander said she was “shocked and excited” to know she has secured her fourth victory of the season, beating South Korean stars Park In-bee and Ariya Jutanugarn by one shot.

“So many people think winning two is normal, so I’m very excited that I can go out there and win again,” said Ko, who won her last tournament at the seventh hole of the final round to seal the event in Hawaii.

Ko completed her first and only victory at the Canadian Women’s Open in 2015 when she was just 17. In 2016, she became the youngest golfer to win multiple LPGA Tour events.

“So many people think that just winning two is normal,” she said. “I guess now it’s kind of normal for me and I enjoy that.”
